Delaware Farm Bureau Women’s Committee Scholarship Program
The Delaware Farm Bureau Women’s Committee awards two scholarships annually. They give a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving senior high school student or college student who plans to continue their education. They also give a $2,500 “ag” scholarship to a student who is majoring in the agricultural profession and plans a career in the agriculture field after graduation. Numerous applications are received each year for the $2,500 scholarship. After a winner is chosen, the remaining applications are put into the pool of applicants for the $1,000 scholarship. After the State $1,000 winner is chosen, the remaining applications are sent back to the three county Farm Bureaus for their consideration for scholarship recognition.
Guidelines and requirements are as follows:
Applications are available at the Farm Bureau office at 3457 S. DuPont Hwy.,
Camden, DE 19934 or by calling the office at (302) 697-3183 or
1-800-273-0012 and they will either e-mail or mail one upon request.
Previous scholarship winners are not eligible to reapply.
Parents or applicant must be a member of the Delaware
Farm Bureau for at least one year and maintain membership
for the life of the scholarship.
Applicants must be full-time students.

date will be disqualified.

eligible to receive a scholarship and any other comments you

Scholarship winners will be notified by mail.
Scholarship money is issued after the student satisfactorily
completes their first semester. If the second semester is not
completed, the money must be refunded.
All scholarship money is paid directly to the college.
It is the scholarship winner’s responsibility to contact the Farm
Bureau office with the college’s address and their student
Identification number before payment will be sent.
Additional guidelines regarding the $2,500 ag scholarship:
The winner of the $2,500 ag scholarship will receive an invitation to the Delaware Farm Bureau’s Annual Banquet so they can be recognized.
If awarded this scholarship and the recipient decides to change
his/her major to something other than agriculture, all financial
benefits will become void immediately.
