The Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation is ready to Do More 24 with the help of a 24-hour virtual donation event hosted by Spur Impact and the United Way of Delaware.
Do More 24 Delaware is Delaware’s largest giving day and was created to help nonprofits leverage the power of social media and connections, offering a way to enhance programming by expanding on the organization’s donor base. The event runs from Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. through Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m.
“Unique opportunities like Do More 24 Delaware is what the Foundation needs so we can continue educating the public about agriculture and supporting our youth,” DEFB Assistant Executive Director Mikayla Paul said. “The Foundation uses the funds raised through events like these to support our Mobile Ag Lab and other great activities throughout the year.”
The handicap accessible Mobile Ag Lab was launched in 2014 and aims at educating children, ages 5 – 12, about the importance of farming, healthy eating, and agriculture as a way of life. It is currently being renovated to offer new and innovative programming to best serve students in classrooms and camps across the state.
DEFB Foundation supporters can set up a reminder to donate online at https://www.domore24delaware.org/fundraisers/delaware-farm-bureau-foundation and can make those donations anytime during the 24-hour event.
