One of the focuses of the Delaware Farm Bureau’s Women’s Committee is community support. This past December, the committee utilized the Delaware Farm Bureau (DEFB) Convention as an opportunity to collect canned goods and volunteer hours. Attendees were encouraged to bring canned goods, which were donated to the Food Bank of Delaware. Thanks to their efforts, the committee successfully collected and donated 100 pounds of canned goods.
In addition, the Women’s Committee continued its tradition of honoring fallen veterans through the Wreaths Across America program. On December 13, committee members gathered at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro to lay wreaths on veterans’ graves.
