French Green Beans

These French green beans are tender, crisp, and tossed in a buttery sauce that will make you rethink how good vegetables can taste. They’re the perfect mix of elegance and comfort, adding a little French flair to any meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 lb swiss cheese grated
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 916 oz cans French green beans drained
  • 1/2 can onion rings preferably Durkees brand

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter, add onion, and garlic. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes. Add flour, salt, pepper, and milk to make a white sauce.
  • Place green beans in greased casserole. Pour sauce over beans. Top with onion rings. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
