DEFB has received multiple concerns about the property reassessment, including that farmers have received documents from Tyler Technologies about their reassessment values, and an application for the Farmland Assessment was included. The question was whether farmers/landowners had to reapply for the Farmland Assessment Program if they were already enrolled because of the reassessment process.

The answer is NO. You do not need to reapply for the Farmland Assessment Program. The only time you need to reapply is if the property’s owners change. If you have further questions, you can contact your respective county’s assessment and farmland assessment offices.

If you have any additional questions or concerns about the reassessment, you can contact Don Clifton, DEFB Executive Director, at don.clifton@defb.org or Sydnie Grossnickle, DEFB Program & Policy Coordinator, at sydnie.grossnickle@defb.org.
