Delaware Farm Bureau (DEFB) President Bill Powers attended the Bay in Balance Conference, held March 2–4, 2026, in Gettysburg, PA. The conference brought together stakeholders from across the Chesapeake Bay watershed to review progress and discuss future plans for Chesapeake Bay restoration. Major topics discussed include agricultural conservation, watershed management, and identifying collaborative solutions for water quality.
President Powers emphasized the importance of having farmers represented in these conversations to share their stories, challenges, and experiences. He noted that bringing decision-makers and the people directly affected into the same room is essential. Powers said he was honored to represent Delaware Farm Bureau and Delaware’s farming community at the event.
