On August 1, the Delaware Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) hosted their 32nd Annual Antique Tractor Pull at the Delaware State Fair. The event once again brought together tractor enthusiasts, competitors, and fairgoers for a day of competition and agricultural tradition.

The Antique Tractor Pull has become a time-honored fair tradition, featuring restored tractors from across the region competing to see which can pull the sled the farthest. While each class is competitive, the event is also an opportunity to showcase tractors that represent an important part of farming history.

In addition to providing entertainment for fair visitors, the tractor pull supports the work of the YF&R Committee. Funds raised through the event help support scholarships, leadership development programs, and educational opportunities for young people involved in agriculture.

The success of the event depends on the support of many organizations, volunteers, and participants. The Delaware State Fair, Delmarva Pullers Association, sponsors, and the many pullers who bring their tractors each year all play an important role in making the event possible.

Year after year, the Antique Tractor Pull continues to draw strong participation and enthusiastic crowds, serving as a reminder of Delaware’s agricultural roots while helping support future generations of agricultural leaders.
