Visit Delaware Farm Bureau at the Delaware State Fair

Delaware Farm Bureau (DEFB) is counting down the days until they can support the young ag professionals while they show their livestock, enjoy a refreshing milk­shake from the Delaware Farm Bu­reau Food Booth and watch the Del­aware Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers’ Antique Tractor Pull event!

The Delaware State Fair is a summertime tradition, and DEFB is proud to participate once again. Throughout the 10-day event, DEFB will educate the public on the importance of agriculture. The Delaware Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee will manage a booth located in the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Commodities Building. Visitors to the booth can test their agricultural knowledge with a fun trivia game, guess the number of lima beans in a jar for a chance to win an exciting prize donated by Del-One Federal Credit Union, and learn about the vital role the Delaware Farm Bureau plays in the community.

Many members of the Promotion and Education Committee also serve on the Delaware Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, which manages the Delaware Farm Bureau Food Booth. Proceeds from the Food Booth support various Women’s Committee programs, including their annual scholarship program.

DEFB will also take part in the highly anticipated Pig Kissing Contest and Kid’s Day, adding extra fun for all ages.
